For the most part, we won’t have the support of governments and their infrastructure to build People Power. It is up to us. And the best way to do it is to build a supportive community, which will support each other, share resources and mobilize their societies when necessary.
Overview
As we begin to build our base, we will hold online and offline events where members can meet and share their own stories and resource, as well as ask for support when the need arises. And we will develop the tools to mobilize our communities and networks quickly in emergency situations.
These events will begin on the web and then can take place on the local, regional, national and eventually international events. At these gatherings we will have workshops, gatherings for role play facilitators & scenario writers; reporters and writers; and teachers so they can make connections, brainstorm and build more effective structures for working together. And time to just connect, get to know each other and have fun!
What We Need Right Now:
Initially a web platform that allows for discussion and interaction amongst all participants.
We will need to find locations in communities to meet in the beginning
Once things get really rolling, we will need to figure out places where we can meet that both allow for various workshops and meetings and are affordable and accessible for anyone who wants to attend.
