Mission

The mission of People Have the Power
To use strategy games to build the effectiveness and power of nonviolent resistance.

Why?
We will use strategy games to first learn from past historic nonviolent struggles, and then as a tool for testing our strategies for current struggles before we actually use them. As we learn and apply what we learn, we will become more strategic and effective with our use of nonviolent resistance and in building people power worldwide.

We need you!
If you agree with the mission, there are many ways for you to get involved:

Education
The sad reality is that People Power/nonviolent action is understood by very few people in most societies, even the most democratic. It is not taught in the schools and is usually ignored or misreported by the media. So, the natural place to start is with education.

Strategy Games
We don’t have People Power colleges where strategists study past nonviolent actions and create more effective strategies. So, it is up to us to do the studying and strategy development ourselves. Strategy games will be a key tool we use to develop our strategies.

Community Building
For the most part, we won’t have the support of governments and their infrastructure to build People Power. It is up to us. And the best way to do it is to build a supportive community, which will  support each other, share resources and mobilize their societies when necessary.

Resource Sharing
This is not the military. Our societies have not yet been mobilized to support the work we are doing as is usually done for the military in most societies. So, we need to rely on ourselves and the resources we are and have access to to build this project.
